TETRA Solution
For professional TETRA communications
TETRA has been extremely popular in Australia, particularly within the Mining and Oil & Gas sectors. Future Systems has been involved in TETRA in Australia since the very start of the technology in Australia on projects with Gorgon, FMG, Kanmantoo Mine, Ichthys, Roy Hill and many others.
TETRA grew through the 90s from GSM technology with similar features to GSM but in addition to features normally found in analogue trunked networks (such as group and broadcast calls).
TETRA remains a force in digital trunked technologies and Future Systems has partnered with a good selection of TETRA manufacturers such as Selex, DAMM and Hytera.
TETRA System Architecture
The unique, modular system design of the innovative TETRA solution enables us to design the TETRA system exactly according to your specific requirements. The system design allows distributed as well as centralized architectures.
Centralized System Highlights
All the switching functions for voice, data and gateways to external systems are implemented at a centralized point in the system.
Distributed System Highlights
The switching and gateway function can be distributed to any desired point in the system. Apart from the increased flexibility, the distributed architecture offers an increased robustness of the systems avoiding the failure at individual locations.
Multiple Network architecture
Apart from centralized and distributed network architecture, TETRA system also support mixed network architecture (combine these two-network architecture) to maximum the network implementation flexibility.
