NSW SES Awards Digital Voice HF Network Project to Future Systems | 18th Jun 2017

We are pleased to announce that NSW SES has awarded Future Systems a contract to design, install and commission a Digital Voice and ALE capable HF Network using Codan’s industry leading Envoy platform. The network will consist of up to 16 base sites, all connected back to district HQs and the SES’s Central Command centre in Wollongong. The network will be installed in the Far West Region (commanded from Cobar) and serves regions around Broken Hill, Cobar, White Cliffs, Bourke, Packsaddle, Menindee, Ivanhoe, Wilcannia and Goodooga.

The network will be integrated within the Despatch system used at the Wollongong Command Centre and will also be integrated within vehicles with installed UHF GRN capable radios such that the HF radio network can be accessed and monitored whilst away from the vehicle via UHF.

Future Systems has invested significant resources into developing an integration capability with the Codan Envoy platform, using its publicly available HFoZ network to trial analogue to digital migration, GPS location services and HF to email/SMS capabilities and welcomes this opportunity to use this experience to develop what will be one of the most advanced HF public safety networks in Australia.
